Oregon Quilt Festival

The 3-day annual Oregon Quilt Festival with sessions held by Rob Appell, Kimberly Einmo, Chris Marchini, and MACC. If you enjoy quilting and crafting, you'll love this multi-day event.

Kids 12 and under are FREE. $15 General Admission. Thursday, Feb. 27 to Saturday, Mar. 1 from 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.


Home Depot Indoor Kid's Workshop

Locate your local Home Depot and bring your kids to the hands-on workshop. Kids will make a wooden craft using a hammer and nails, screwdriver and screws, and stickers and paint.

FREE. Saturday, March 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.


A Heavenly Birthday Party

This is a 5th annual partnership event with Simply Birthdays celebrating Katie Buckle and her heart to help others. Bring an unwrapped gift/gift card for a child or teen to 842 Sandpine Loop in Keizer for this Drive-by-Party! This is a great way to give to local children in the community.

FREE to participate. Gift cost varies. Saturday, March 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 


Salem Saturday Market OPENING

Come check out the Saturday Market full of local vendors! It is officially open for the season! The market begins on the corner of Summer Street and Marion Street downtown. The Marion County Master Gardeners will be on-site at a booth to answer all of your gardening questions! There will be lots of handouts available to take to help you on your gardening journey.

FREE. Saturday, March 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.


Rock & Gem Show

If you like rocks or gems, check out this show! US Bead Warehouse presents amazing rock vendors selling minerals, gemstones, jewelry, crystals, and more. Many vendors attended the Tucson, Arizona show, so there are many new items to see.

FREE. Saturday and Sunday, March 2-3 from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Closes at 4pm on Sunday)


Tinker Tech (elementary)

Come tinker on the second floor of the Main Library! STEAM kits are available to use for 30 minute sessions. Most kits are made for kids in grades 2-5, but some are available for younger children.

FREE. Tuesday, March 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.


Apple Pie Day

Gather with homeschoolers from across the state to share apple pie and deliver info packets to legislators and participate in a homeschool freedom rally with a guest speaker! Afterwards, join at the nearby Fruitland Community Church for a special homeschool encouragement event with FREE pizza, fellowship, and activities!

FREE. Thursday, March 6 at 12:00 p.m.


Bonus: Bauman's Farm and Garden

Shop at a local farm and garden store right outside of Salem in Gervais, OR. While you shop, take your children to visit the playground. They have playgrounds for all ages including 2 covered areas and one open area to play. There are long slides and even farm animals to pet.

FREE. Monday-Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
