Who knew?
I went into parenthood with the assumption that the world of friendships would open up. I mean, what bigger thing can you have in common than being a MOM.
It didn't take long into motherhood for me to realize that's not how it works.
Parenting is hard and vulnerable and beautiful. I became even more careful of who I invited into my world. (Or maybe- more careful of the opinions and advice I invited in.)
I'm 21.5 years into being a mom and I'm STILL trying to figure out how to make those intentional friendships that are mutually beneficial. It's so hard! And it's scary to put yourself out there.
But that's why I decided that Macaroni Kid Salem needed to be an active thing.
Our community matters. And YOU matter.
I can't take away the difficulties of this stage of parenting, but I can provide you a space to interact and activities that allow your family space to simply have fun together.
Thank you for coming along on this ride with me. Salem is an incredible city and we have so many things to offer families in our area. Let's go find them together!
