Summer Snackin'

Filling the request of 5,000 snacks a day

By Annie Willems June 30, 2019

I'm unsure how my children survive during the day at school - because they're apparently STARVING all the time!

It can't possibly be just me.

"Is it snack time?" "Can I have a snack now?" "Mooommmmm, I'm hungryyyyy." The requests come in at warp speed when they're at home.

Which means summer becomes a serious challenge of balancing the art of feeding the children healthy foods AND keeping their stomachs full. I doubt they're feeling hunger near as much as they think they are, but I also don't want the topic of food to become a battleground in our home. I offer fruits, vegetables, and small snacks that allow them to eat when they choose to while still giving them something healthy in the process.

The problem: My youngest has a serious love for chips.

It makes zero difference what kind of chips she can get into her little hands. She will happily snuggle up with the bag of crunchy deliciousness and eat her way through a good portion of the bag. Finding a healthier version has been so hard!

And along came RITZ Crisp & Thins...in all of their thin and crunchy goodness!

They're baked not fried- far better for her than her favorite potato chips. We can grab a bag for on-the-go and snack in the car without making a huge mess. We have replaced her beloved BBQ potato chips with RITZ Crisp & Thins Barbecue. We were even able to use the Cheddar flavor to replace some other cheese-flavored snack items that had more fat and sodium.

I won't lie. I love them, too. Every trip to Fred Meyer involves at least 2 packages of them added to my cart.

(And I'm not even sorry about that.)

I want to know your favorite flavor!
